Problem Note 43476: A web services Create request fails and returns an OPTIMISTIC_LOCK_EXCEPTION error
In SAS® Enterprise Case Management, when you send a web services Create request, the request might fail, returning the following error in the web services response:
OPTIMISTIC_LOCK_EXCEPTION
The failure occurs when you attempt to set system-managed fields in a web services Create request. To avoid this error, do not attempt to set system-managed fields in a web services Create request. The following are system-managed fields:
- VALID_FROM_DTTM
- VALID_TO_DTTM
- CREATE_DTTM
- CREATE_USER_ID
- UPDATE_USER_ID
- VERSION_NO
- CASE_RK
- INCIDENT_RK
- PARTY_RK
- FINANCIAL_ITEM_RK
- PARENT_OBJECT_NM
- PARENT_OBJECT_RK
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After applying the hot fix, a warning message will be returned from the web services Create request if you attempt to set system-managed fields in a web services Create request. The warning identifies any system-managed fields that are included in the request. The system-managed field values are ignored.
