Usage Note 43640: Differences in how OLAP cube job objects are stored between SAS® 9.1.3 and SAS® 9.2 in SAS® Data Integration Studio
Cube job metadata objects are displayed differently in SAS 9.2 compared to SAS 9.1.3.
When the Cube Designer Wizard is used to create and build a cube in 9.1.3, the process creates a cube job that can be seen in SAS Data Integration Studio 3.4 on the Inventory tab under Jobs. This job can be opened in SAS Data Integration Studio 3.4, which will display a simple job flow in the Process Designer. In the Process Designer, you can select the Source Editor to display the generated PROC OLAP code.
The following image shows a cube job in SAS Data Integration Studio 3.4.
In SAS 9.2 and SAS Data Integration Studio 4.3, cube jobs are located on the Inventory tab under Job (cube), and different actions apply. Specifically, a cube job in SAS Data Integration Studio 4.3 cannot be opened to display the simple job flow. Instead, you can right-click on a cube job and select Properties. From the Properties dialog box, you can add pre- and post- processing code. You can also right-click on a cube job and deploy it for scheduling. To review the code for a cube job, deploy the job for scheduling and view the .sas file generated.
