Problem Note 42669: A modification error occurs when you try to save changes to a case
If you are editing a case in SAS® Enterprise Case Management, then you might get the following error message when you try to save your changes:
Someone else modified the case while you were modifying it. Please edit the case again.
The error occurs when more than one user is editing the same case at the same time. The user who first saves changes to the case will be successful, but other users who are editing the case at the same time will see the error message when they try to save the case.
If you encounter this error, then you can work around the problem by opening the case again, re-entering your changes, and saving the case.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After applying the hot fix, multiple users will not be allowed to edit the same case at the same time. If you try to edit a case that is already being edited by another user, then you will see a message saying that the case is locked by another user, and the case will be opened in read-only mode.
