Problem Note 42048: History data in the Common Data Model is lost when you upgrade from SAS® Customer Intelligence 5.3 (TS2M0) to the third maintenance release (TS2M3)

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you upgrade from SAS Customer Intelligence 5.3 TS2M0, to the third maintenance release (TS2M3), migrated campaigns are published clean the first time they are executed after the upgrade. As a result, the Common Data Model tables are cleared for those migrated campaigns, and the history data is lost.

As a workaround after the upgrade, you can open each campaign and create a new version of it prior to the first execution. Doing this sets the publish state back to unpublished. The preceding history then remains untouched, tied to the previous version. The workaround does have a down side, however. The new version of the campaign will publish new values for the surrogate keys (_SK), so reports that rely on this information must be updated. Any reports based on name (_NM) and folder (_FOLDER) should be okay.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

If you currently have SAS Customer Intelligence 5.1, you can migrate directly to SAS Customer Intelligence 5.3 TS2M3 because this problem is fixed in the TS2M3 release.

If you currently have SAS Customer Intelligence 5.3 TS2M0, you should apply the hot fix immediately (when it is available) after upgrading to 5.3 TS2M3 so that you will not run into this issue.
