In some analyses (such as Details Tables or Summary Tables), you can use Emerging Issues calculated variables as reporting variables. However, this action can cause the analysis to fail with an error similar to the following:
com.sas.analytics.mfg.warranty.coreapi.error.client.WarrantyException: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.sql.Date at com.sas.analytics.mfg.warranty.core.persistence.cmd.BaseCommand.execute(BaseComm and.java:475) at com.sas.analytics.mfg.warranty.core.table.RemoteTableImpl.getPage(RemoteTableImp l.java:113) . . .more message lines. . .
This problem occurs because the Java code incorrectly assumes a default data type for the Emerging Issues calculated variables.
