Sample 41169: Creating the indicator data object based on a SQL query of SASHELP.CLASS for use with the SAS® BI Dashboard 4.3 sample indicators
Overview
In preparation for creating the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 sample indicators, this sample explains how to create the indicator data object based on a SQL query of SASHELP.CLASS.
Create the indicator data object
- In SAS BI Dashboard, select File ► New ► Indicator Data to open the Create Indicator Data dialog box.
- For the name, enter
Sample sashelp.class
.
- Click OK and the Indicator Data editor appears. In the Indicator Data editor, complete the following steps:
- Select SQL Query from the Data source list.
- Type the following into the SQL Query box:
select * from sashelp.class
- Click Apply Query Changes.
At this point, the Indicator Data editor should look like the following display.
Save the indicator data object
Note: If you have not created the sample folder structure, see SAS Note 41188.
- Select File ► Save.
- Navigate to Shared Data/BID Samples/Data, and save the indicator data object.
