Sample 41188: Creating the folder structure used by the SAS® BI Dashboard 4.3 samples
Overview
In preparation for creating the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 sample indicators, organize BI Dashboard content by creating the folder structure described in this note. The instructions for all of the indicator samples refer to a specific folder name when accessing or saving content.
Creating the folder structure
To create the folder structure for the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 samples, log into SAS BI Dashboard to access the BI Dashboard Viewer environment. Click the Manage Dashboards button at the top of the window to access the BI Dashboard Designer environment, where you will create all of the BI Dashboard objects.
Note: If you do not see the Manage Dashboards button, then you are not a member of the BI Dashboard Admins group. Contact your system administrator for assistance.
All of the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 samples are documented to be created in the following folder structure:
The Shared Data folder should be displayed in the Library tree. Select the Shared Data folder, and click the New Folder icon to create a folder. The new folder displays with text highlighted. Type in the name BID Samples
and press ENTER. The new folder appears beneath the Shared Data folder.
Now, select the BID Samples folder, and repeat the steps to create the four folders for the BI Dashboard objects:
