Installation Note 41523: An error occurs during installation of SAS® 9.2 due to a renamed jar file or a jar file that is missing from the SAS Software Depot
You might receive the following error when you install SAS 9.2 (or any similar release of Base SAS® software):

sas.iquery.services.jar:
-2147024894, The system cannot find the file specified.
If this error occurs, inspect your SAS Software Depot for the file that is referenced in the error. The following file name is typical:
products\base__92ts2m0__win__en__sp0__1\sas\eclipse\plugins\sas.iquery.services_902000.29.6.20090116170000_v920\sas.iquery.services.jar.
In some cases, the file referenced in the error might be missing from the products directory. The file might also have been renamed to sas.iquery.services.jar.txt. In either situation, the error occurs.
The cause of the error is a security tool that runs automatically and searches for certain .jar files. These .jar files include personal identifier information, which resembles Social Security numbers (nnn-nnn-nnnn).
If the security tool finds such a .jar file, the tool:
- removes the file and replaces it with an empty file of the same name.
- appends a .txt file extension to the file name.
- might also remove the .jar file completely and not replace it.
If the .jar file is present in the SAS Software Depot and it has not been renamed, you should reference the following SAS Notes:
36058 "The installation might fail when you install SAS
