When you install SAS 9.2 Foundation software from a SAS Software Depot, the installation might fail. If this happens, you will see the following error in the sasinstall log file:
PROCFILES: --> The following error occurred while installing C:\Program Files\SAS\SASVersionedJarRepository\9.2\eclipse\plugins\ sas.analytics.cmpfuncetsmdl.nls_902000.0.0.20090116170000_v920 \sas.analytics.cmpfuncetsmdl.nls.jar: -2147024894, The system cannot find the file specified.
The sasinstall_date_time.log file is located in the SASHOME\InstallMisc\InstallLogs\9.2 directory. The default location is:
The issue is caused by a fully qualified path name that is too long. The maximum file name supported on Windows XP is 255 characters and on Windows Vista it is 260.
Use a filename and path to the SAS Software Depot root that is no more than 50 characters. Several directories in the SAS Software Depot are long.
