Problem Note 38791: ERROR: "The metadata for the table/view libref.tablename does not exist"
If you assign a library using the META engine on the LIBNAME statement, and you have previously run the
%OMABAKUP macro with the RUNANALYSIS=YES parameter or have used the %OMARUNAN macro, you might suddenly begin seeing errors like the following when you try to access a table in the library:
ERROR: File libref.tablename.DATA does not exist.
ERROR: The metadata for the table/view libref.tablename does not exist.
This occurs even though you could previously access the table successfully.
To circumvent the problem, you must restart the SAS® Metadata Server. However, this circumvention is likely to be temporary, as the problem can occur again at any time.

Data sets in a library allocated with the META LIBNAME engine sporadically produce an error that the metadata does not exist.
