After using Send to Microsoft Excel on a SAS data set, the resulting data in Microsoft Excel might be incorrect. This problem will most likely occur for data represented with exponential notation. For example, after using Send to Microsoft Excel, the value 1.23456E10 in SAS Enterprise Guide might display in Excel as 12345600000.
To circumvent the problem, use Export instead of Send To.
