In certain circumstances, when you monitor database activity against a SAS Marketing Automation system, there might be a considerable delay between when diagrams or campaigns are executed and when the SQL requests reach the database.
This delay occurs when the diagram starts from a single node that fans out into many parallel nodes. These parallel nodes, in turn, all feed into a single Prioritize node that creates many parallel cells. These cells then feed into a single communication. This process causes SAS Marketing Automation to run many recursive tasks in order to determine the true state of all nodes in the diagram.
The diagram execution will complete successfully. However, you will see a delay while this recursive processing takes place.
