Usage Note 31008: Hot Fixes 913SMC04 and 14JPS02 provide the capability to add job flows using partial promotion
The SAS® Management Console Hot Fixes 913SMC04 and 14JPS02 enable job
flows to be used in partial promotion.
These hot fixes employ new features that enable you to move flows from
one metadata server to another. You can export the deployed flow with its deployed jobs, just the deployed
flow, or just the deployed job. Therefore, "deployed flows" have connections to a scheduling server and
deployed jobs. The "deployed jobs" have connections to a batch server (via the
application server), the job, and depending on the type of batch server, the deployment
directory.
There is no automatic rescheduling of job flows. That must still be
done in the target metadata server.
See the Chapter 18 of the SAS® 9.1.3 Intelligence Platform
System Administration Guide for information on partial promotion.
Note: Applying the hot fixes requires SAS Management Console Implementation version 9.1.20060726.1008. You can determine the SAS Management Console version from the About SAS Management Console Dialog under Product Release Information. If your SAS Management Console Implementation version is lower than version 9.1.20060726.1008, you will need to obtain the Client-Side Components CDs for media revision level 28 or above (this also corresponds to CD Set 58 or higher in your media kit). In this case, you will need to install SAS Management Console from the volume 1 CD and SAS® Foundation Services from the volume 2 CD (jps folder therein). Once these installations are done, then you can apply the required hot fixes listed above.
Addendum: You should also dowload and apply Hot fix E9BC03 or one of its successors (currently E9BC59) to your SAS Metadata Server software.
