If there is not a JRE installed on your Windows Vista(TM) operating system and you bring up a SAS/Graph "live" Java applet, you may be prompted to install JRE 1.4.1. If you proceed with the installation you are likely to encounter the following: 1. When you open Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) on the Vista operating system, IE7 crashes. JRE 1.4.1 will also crash SAS if a live Java applet is displayed in the SAS internal browser. 2. IE7 will crash with JRE 1.4.1 even if you just try to view the Java console. This problem is with JRE 1.4.1 on Vista, and not with the 9.1.3 SP4 SAS/Graph applets. To correct this problem install a Vista supported JRE on your system before bringing up the SAS/Graph applets. The SAS/Graph applets have been tested with JRE plug-ins 1.4.2_09 and 1.5.0_12. * Note: The JRE 1.4.2_09 isn't supported by Sun for Vista. According to the following web page, JRE 1.5.0_11 is the first JRE supported on Vista: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/system-configurations.html
