- Submit a LIBNAME statement using the META engine to assign a metadata library that points to an Oracle database.
- Submit an SQL procedure that creates a view by joining two tables in the metadata library.
- Submit a DATA step that creates a data set view by setting the SQL view that you created in step 2.
If you encounter the access-violation message or a system interruption after performing these steps, this hot fix resolves the problem. If you encounter this problem under other circumstances, this hot fix does not apply.
