Problem Note 20322: Canceling open or modify into Microsoft Excel can lose the connection
between the worksheet and the server
If you attempt to modify an existing data source open in your Microsoft
Excel spreadsheet using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office and cancel
the modify while it is attempting to retrieve the modified data, it will
return an empty worksheet when you cancel. This is expected. However,
Microsoft Excel also loses the association to the original table in the
spreadsheet, which is not the intended behavior.
Currently, there is no circumvention for this except to reopen the
original table.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
