Usage Note 20058: Locating logs for SAS® Financial Management 4.x in a Windows and WebLogic environment

When debugging problems in SAS Financial Management 4.x, you might be asked to send several logs to SAS Technical Support. Below are the default locations for the most commonly requested logs for SAS Financial Management 4.x in a Windows and WebLogic environment.

Note: These are the default log locations and might be different in your specific implementation.

In the locations that are listed below, .x refers to the minor release number (for example, SAS Financial Management 4.4).

Client-Tier Logs

SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office log

Because specific DLL files need to be installed in order to enable the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office log, information about the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office log is documented in a separate SAS note. Refer to SAS Note 19846 "How to generate the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office log with SAS Financial Management releases prior to 5.3".

   ddmmmyy represents the date of the log file. Be sure to send the log file with the most recent date and time stamp.

SAS Object Spawner

   SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\ObjectSpawner\Logs\ObjectSpawner_yyyy-mm-dd_nnn.log
   yyyy-mm-dd_nnn represents the date of the log file. Be sure to send the log file with the most recent date and time stamp.

SAS® Stored Process Server

   SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\SASApp\StoredProcessServer\Logs\SASApp_STPServer_yyyy-mm-dd_nnn.log
   yyyy-mm-dd_nnn represents the date of the log file. Be sure to send the log file with the most recent date and time stamp.

Workspace Server

   SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\SASApp\WorkspaceServer\Logs\SASApp_WorkspaceServer_yyyy-mm-dd_nnn.log
   yyyy-mm-dd_nnn represents the date of the log file. Be sure to send the log file with the most recent date and time stamp.
