DetailsAboutRate It

Certain libraries might not be visible when selecting an output library for a query or other task in SAS Enterprise Guide. Likewise, an attempt to run code on the library might generate an error similar to the following:

ERROR: You cannot create or delete datasets, views or indexes in
this mode. Try the option METAOUT=DATA.

To circumvent the problem, follow these steps:

  1. Open SAS® Management Console.
  2. Expand Data Library Manager.
  3. Expand SAS Libraries.
  4. Right-click on the library in question and choose Properties.
  5. Choose Extended Attributes.
  6. Click New.
  7. For Field Name, enter AssignMode.
  8. For Value, enter 2.
  9. For Description, enter Metaout=data.
  10. Click OK to close the Properties window.
  11. Right-click on Libraries and choose Refresh.

Restart SAS Enterprise Guide and confirm that the library is now available.
