SAS 9.1.3 supports Vista Enterprise, Business, and Ultimate 32-bit editions in workstation and server mode.

SAS 9.2 Phase 1 (TS1M0) supports Vista Enterprise, Business, and Ultimate 32-bit and x64 editions in workstation and server mode.

Note: Neither SAS 9.1.3 nor SAS 9.2 support installation under any Vista Home editions (Premium or Basic).

To install SAS 9.1.3 on Vista, you need SAS Installation Kit, Revisions 20 through 33, and you must run the SAS installation through the Program Compatibility Wizard. You do not need to run the installation through the Program Compatibility Wizard to install SAS 9.1.3, Revision 34 or later. No specific revision number is necessary to install SAS 9.2 on Windows Vista.

Vista supports only SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1.0.1000 and later revisions. There is no support for any releases before 4.1.0.1000. To check your version of SAS Enterprise Guide, select Help ► About SAS Enterprise Guide. SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1.0.1000 is available beginning with Revision 37. The revision number is listed on the outside of the SAS Installation Kit. For more information, see SAS Note 18697, "SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® 4.1.0 and earlier releases are not supported under Microsoft Vista; SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® 4.1.0.1000 supported under Vista."

SAS^® AppDev Studio 3.3 and earlier releases do not support Vista. Support for Vista 32-bit and x64 workstation editions is projected for SAS AppDev Studio 3.4.
