Problem Note 19678: Refreshing information map in a Microsoft Excel workbook might cause it to hang

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Microsoft Excel might hang if you attempt to refresh information map data in an Microsoft Excel workbook through the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office. This will most likely happen on a workbook that you saved with the information map, recently reopened and attempt to refresh the results. When you right-click on the information map and select Refresh, Microsoft Excel might hang.

To workaround this issue, right-click on the information map and select Modify and then click OK instead of selecting Refresh. You should only have to do this the first time you try to refresh an information map in a workbook that was just opened. Thereafter, all the information maps in the workbook should refresh normally.

Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
