Usage Note 17465: CPDUPCHK macro now allows more than 999 for RANGES=
When running IT Resource Management (ITRM), the following error message
may be generated:
ERROR: You have exceeded the storage slots available for datetime
range information whilst loading the control dataset.
To preserve the integrity of your PDB, SAS will terminate
with a U1006 abend. Rerun this job with a higher RANGES value
in CPDUPCHK.
Although increasing the RANGE value in CPDUPCHK allows the process job
to continue most of the time, there may be times when the number of
RANGES need to be greater than 999 because some monitoring systems are
up and down almost daily. Attempting to increate the RANGES parameter
to greater than 999 will result in the following message:
ERROR: The CPDUPCHK RANGES parameter cannot exceed 999.
A change has been made to CPDUPCHK macro. Instead of limiting the
RANGES= value to 999, the maximum is now 9999. Refer to Appendix 4 of
the ITRM Macro Reference guide for more information about working with
duplicate data.
