Problem Note 17998: Accessing a DB2 table via a LIBNAME may result in a +239 error
It's possible to receive a +239 when trying to access a DB2 table using
a LIBNAME engine if the DB2 table has more than 50 columns or if the
table has a column defined as a DISTINCT data type. Depending on how
you are accessing the table you may see one of the following messages:
ERROR: DB2 describe error: DSNT404I SQLCODE = 239, WARNING:
SQLDA INCLUDES 050 SQLVAR ENTRIES, BUT 106 ARE REQUIRED FOR 053
COLUMNS BECAUSE AT LEAST ONE OF THE COLUMNS BEING DESCRIBED IS A
DISTINCT TYPE.
or
DB2 SQL Error, sqlca->sqlcode=239
