Problem Note 16723: SAS Money Laundering Detection watch list processing scenarios require
more than 2 GB of memory and produce out of memory errors
As a result of the 2 GB memory addressing limitation on the 32 bit
platforms, the hash tables used in watch list processing scenarios
(79, 80, 82 and possibly others) can produce messages regarding
insufficient memory.
A new option is introduced via the available hotfix to allow for
alternate lookup methods to the hash lookup. The alternate method is
controlled by a macro variable as follows:
%let WATCH_LIST_PROCESSING_METHOD=INDEX_ARRAY;
- uses indexed tables read by key to locate entries in arrays;
Use this for 32 bit platforms.
%let WATCH_LIST_PROCESSING_METHOD=HASH_ARRAY;
- uses HASH tables as pointers to locate entries in the
arrays; this is the default value set in the autoexec.
