Using a SMTP e-mail server to authenticate a broadcast log in produces an exception stating that the 'sending' failed.
The failure occurs because the authenticator is not passed down to the mail session.
A work around is to define a dynamic broadcast and select no links to track which in effect results in a static broadcast.
When the error occurs, output similar to the following appears:
