Problem Note 15123: Authentication via the PC Spawner program will only allow 14 character maximum for password

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
When a SIGNON attempt to the PC Spawner program is performed, the
following error message may appear if the password consists of more
than 14 characters:

ERROR: Communication request rejected by partner: security
          verification failure.

To verify that a password is being used that is greater than 14
characters, add the -z parameter to the Spawner to produce a
spawner.dat. The following error will appear in the spawner.dat file:

   [4815296]Unknown username or bad password.
[4815296]ERROR: Unable to authenticate user (OS error: 1326).
   [4815296]Invalid username/password, access denied.

OS error 1326 indicates that a password is being used with more than 14
characters.

To set the -z parameter on the Spawner, the Spawner must be uninstalled
and re-installed as before adding the -z parameter to the spawner
invocation. For example:

   spawner.exe -i -c tcp -z

The spawner.dat will be created in the !SASROOT directory.
