Problem Note 15074: Java.lang.ClassCastException may occur when attempting to use the
subscription feature in the Information Delivery Portal
When attempting to use the Manager Subscriptions/Subscribers option in
the Information Delivery Portal, the following error may occur:
A serious error occurred. Contact the portal administrator.
<date and time>
The date and time shown here may be useful to the administrator.
java.lang.ClassCastException
at
com.sas.portal.actions.DisplayChannelSubscriptionsAction.execute
(DisplayChannelSubscriptionsAction.java:61)
at
org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processActionPerform
(RequestProcessor.java:465)
This exception will occur if the Portal User is defined as an Event
Subscriber in the Metadata and the SAS Event Manager configuration is
not being used.
To correct the problem, remove the Event Subscriber entry for the Portal
User.
