Usage Note 13789: SAS Activity-Based Managment 6.2 and Earlier Only Supports English
Prior to the 6.2 release, SAS Activity-Based Managment was only
available in English. The 6.2 release was designed to support other
languages, and it includes a reference to a language pack on the
solution web page of the server installation, but since the language
pack was not yet available at the time of the release, none of the
language downloads are functional. Installing 62AB02 makes the language
options available and funtional.
Note: During the language pack installation to the ABM server, after
selecting a language to install, the user will be presented with the
option "Run LocalizeDbSetup (Y/N)". Responding Yes will produce the
following warning message:
"The default workspace names will be modified based on the new language,
which can make existing workspace items unusable (e.g. Data
Import/Export). Are you sure you want to continue?"
The situation described in the warning message occurs when the language
pack installation renames the default items in the workspace, such as
the Models folder, to the equivalent terms in the selected language.
This renders configurations that contain the old item names invalid. It
is a concern only if you have saved configurations for specific
operations in your ABM workspace. If you have not saved any
configurations, for example, if your server installation is new, you can
safely respond Yes. If you have saved configurations, clicking No will
preserve the English names of the workspace items but will still provide
all other supported features in the selected language.
