Problem Note 13515: Access violation may occur when large amounts of character data are
processed on OpenVMS
An access violation may occur when processing large amounts of character
data when running SAS 9 on OpenVMS.
The problem occurs when the SAS programs or data get large enough to
store non-zero values in the upper portions of 64-bit pointers.
Currently, only the lower 32 bits of the pointers are being passed.
This does not cause problems, because pointers being passed have zeros
in the upper 32 bits.
