To apply security to a hierarchy that is not the default, you must specify, at a minimum, two sets. The first contains the default member of the hierarchy. The second contains the members that should be made available to the users. You must separate these two sets with the CONDITION operator as follows: {[TIME].defaultMember}<!--CONDITION-->{[Time].[YQM].[quarter].members} Possible errors from specifying an invalid expression are: 1. Formula Error: Access to member is not allowed in the "DEFAULTMEMBER" function. 2. The OLAP Provider returned an unexpected number of dimensions. However, there is currently a software defect that prevents the default member of a non-default hierarchy from being returned correctly. Additionally, Microsoft Excel will always attempt to surface the All member of a hierarchy. If this member is restricted, an error may be returned. A fix for SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) for this issue is available at: http://www.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_sbcs_prod_list.html#013557 For customers running SAS with Asian Language Support (DBCS), this fix should be downloaded from: http://www.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_dbcs_prod_list.html#013557
