Problem Note 10931: Selection rules scheduled with 'Count Total only' checked run as though 'Count Each Criteria' is selected

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
Under certain conditions, if you schedule a selection rule in the SAS
Campaign Management component to run with 'Count Total Only' checked,
the Scheduler runs it as though you had selected the 'Count Each
Criteria' counting method.

As an example, this problem occurs if you perform the following steps:

  1. First, schedule a selection rule which has been saved with 'Count
Each Criteria' set. However, when scheduling the rule, set the
counting method to 'Count Total Only' in the new Task Properties
     window.

  2. Next schedule another selection rule which has been saved with
'Count Total Only' selected. In the selection rule criteria there
must be one or more 'In List' operators with a list of values.

Make sure the timing of the scheduled tasks is such that rule 1 will
execute before rule 2.

When the Scheduler runs the rules, it runs the first rule as with the
'Count Total Only' method applied (if you go back into this rule after
it executes, you will see that the counting method has changed). When
the Scheduler runs the second rule, it runs it with the 'Count Each
Criteria' method, even though the rule still shows 'Count Total Only'
selected. Any subsequent consecutive rules scheduled as 'Count Total
Only' will also run as 'Count Each Criteria'.

You can avoid the situation by ensuring that your counting method
settings are the same in the selection rule and the scheduled task
properties.
