Additional Checklist for Generic Collector

Before writing your generic collector, you should do the following:

• Know how to find the Macro Reference documentation for IT Service Vision.

  From the IT Service Vision menu select:

  OnlineHelp -> Documentation Contents -> Usage -> Macro Documentation

• Locate the documentation for the collector that logs the data. This documentation should be supplied by the vendor of the collector.
