Add a Predefined Navigator Portlet

The portal includes several predefined navigator portlets. Every portal user has only one of each navigator portlet. However, you can add each portlet to multiple pages if you want to see it in more than one place. For a description of the predefined navigator portlets, see Using Navigator Portlets.
To add a navigator portlet to a portal page, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the page where you want to add the portlet.
Note: If you do not want the portlet to appear on a page, see Create a New Portlet Without Adding it to a Page.
  2. Click Customizethen selectEdit Pagethen selectEdit Page Content.
  3. On the Edit Page Content page, click Add Portlets.
  4. On the Add Portlets page, click the Search tab.
  5. On the Search panel, enter navigator in the Keywords field, and then click Search.
This list of search results should include the predefined navigator portlets.
  6. In the search results list, use either of the following procedures to add the portlet to your page:
    • To add the portlet without previewing it, select the check box next to the portlet name, and then click Add.
    • To preview the portlet before adding it, click the portlet name. When the portlet appears in the browser window, click Add This Portlet on the toolbar.
  7. When you are finished, click Done on the Search page.
  8. On the Edit Page Content page, specify where the portlet is to appear on the page:
    • If you are using a column layout, you can move the portlet to a different column or to a different position within a column.
    • If you are using a grid layout, specify where you want the portlet to appear by selecting the portlet's name in the drop-down box for the appropriate cell. To span rows or columns, select the portlet in adjoining cells.
For more information about specifying the layout of portlets, see Edit the Contents of a Page.
  9. Click OK. The original page appears, with the navigator portlet added.
Note: You can also create a new WebDAV navigator portlet that enables you to access your personal WebDAV repository. See Create a New WebDAV Navigator Portlet .
