Using Navigator Portlets

About Navigator Portlets

Navigator portlets enable you to explore content items that are organized in folders and subfolders.
Depending on the type of navigator portlet, you can access one of the following items from the portlet:
  • reports, information maps, publication channels, and stored processes
  • files that are stored in a WebDAV repository, which is a collection of documents and files that are stored on the SAS Content Server
An example of a navigator portlet is shown below:

The Location box displays the name of the current folder (that is, the folder whose contents are currently listed in the portlet). The contents of the folder are listed under the column headings Name, Type, and Date Modified. The icon that is displayed with each item's name indicates the content type. Subfolders of the current folder are identified with folder icons icon of a folder .

A WebDAV navigator portlet is a navigator portlet that enables you to view files in a WebDAV repository. This portlet is not predefined; you can create as many WebDAV navigator portlets as you want. After you create the portlet, you can change the default path that is displayed in the portlet. See Create a New WebDAV Navigator Portlet .
