You can modify the properties
of your axes as follows:

specify general display attributes,
such as whether to display a grid and tick marks

change the text for axis labels

change the font properties for
labels and axis values

choose the axis type, such as discrete,
linear, or logarithmic

customize the range of values that
are displayed on the axis

specify the tick sequence for a
linear axis

in multi-cell graphs, set a uniform
scale on the axis for rows, columns, or both
Note: In some cases, these properties
are dimmed. For example, some plots require a particular type of axis,
and the axis type cannot be changed for those plots. In addition,
you cannot reverse a common axis.
