Using SAS/GRAPH Fonts

Introduction

SAS/GRAPH fonts are the entries in the SASHELP.FONTS catalog. Information on these fonts is provided for special purposes only. For example, some specialized devices do not support system fonts. Or, you might want to use special symbols in the Marker font to display solid symbols for data points in a plot. If you specify the NOGSTYLE system option and one of the Z device drivers (see Devices), SAS/GRAPH uses SAS/GRAPH fonts.

In general, it is recommended that you use the system fonts supplied by SAS whenever possible. See SAS/GRAPH, System, and Device-Resident Fonts and TrueType Fonts That Are Supplied by SAS for more information.

Note:   The Java and ActiveX devices do not support SAS/GRAPH fonts. SAS/GRAPH fonts cannot be used with template-based graphics (see Device-Based Graphics and Template-Based Graphics).  [cautionend]
