Publishing a Package
You use the SAS Publisher point-and-click interface to create a package of items and to deliver the package to one or more specified recipients (persons) or to a destination (for persons or applications to access directly). Package creation and delivery is known collectively as publishing.
In order to publish a package, you must provide the appropriate information within the three tabs of SAS Publisher and then execute the publish request. The basic steps follow:
- Define the package content in the What to Publish tab.
- Identify either the recipients of or the destination for the package delivery in the Where to Publish tab.
- Specify optional package properties, such as those that vary according to destination type, in the How to Publish tab.
- Execute an appropriate publish request by selecting a processing button on the What to Publish tab.
