How does the PLEX language handle dates?

• The default format is MMDDYYYY for 8-character dates.
• The default format is MMDDYY for 6-character dates.
• You can change the format using the FORM keyword for the subschema item. The formats may be:
  • MMDDYYYY
  • MMDDYY
  • DDMMYYYY
  • DDMMYY
  • YYYYMMDD
  • YYMMDD

• PLEX programs manipulating dates specified with a 2-digit year value may require the SYSTEM 2000 system option YEARCUTOFF to dictate century calculation. PLEX programs also have the added flexibility of utilizing the PLEX command YEARCUTOFF to specify century boundaries. For more information about date handling in PLEX see the SYSTEM 2000 PLEX Manual.
