When you make a call to any one of a specific subset of API macros available in SAS Life Science Analytics Framework Macro API 2.6.1, an unintended side effect is the user preference for the NOTES SAS system option is inadvertently toggled to its binary counterpart. For example, NOTES is toggled to NONOTES, or NONOTES is toggled to NOTES.

To address the issue, install the Macro API 2.6.1a patch to an existing client and/or server instance of Macro API 2.6.1.

When you apply the patch, it replaces the existing set of API 2.6.1 macros with a revised set of macros that contain updated code to ensure that the pre-call setting for NOTES is preserved. 

The Macro API 2.6.1a patch is available for download via the table provided as part of SAS Note 57862. Alternatively, you can go directly to the target location of the Macro API 2.6.1a link that is provided in the top row of the table (Macro API column) by referencing SAS Note 70036.
