In SAS Episode Analytics 4.5, if there is an association rule between a procedural and acute condition whereby they can absorb each other and they have the same trigger, then the procedural condition should absorb the acute condition at Level 3 but should not invoke the association at Level 4.
However, in the case where a parent (A) > child (B) association is made and there is already a parent (B) > child (A) association in place, leveling errors are occurring.
The general rule within the application is that once an episode has been absorbed as a child into a parent episode, it can no longer be a parent episode.
However, issues with the absorption process occur when the association levels for both the parent and child are the same.
This issue is corrected beginning with SAS® Episode Analytics 4.5.1.
