Problem Note 61357: Filter and Sort Task might fail with an error in SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office when you choose a variable that contains a blank space

If you create a SAS data set with the option OPTIONS VALIDVARNAME=ANY, then variable names can contain blank spaces. The following code creates a column that is named "test test."
libname AAA "c:\temp";
options validvarname=any;
data AAA.test;
"test test"n=1;
run;
"test test"n=1;
run;
In the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, if you create a filter on a column that contains a blank space, then you might see an error. For example, if you create a filter on the "test test" column, then you see this error:
"Invalid filter: "test test = 1". Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.
The message occurs only when you select the table from My Computer. In this specific case, you are not using the SAS® Workspace Server.
If you select the table from SASApp ► Library ►Table, then the SAS Workspace Server is used to execute the query and the error does not occur.
