Problem Note 61001: SAS® Model Manager ignores a modified-variable's length if your modified value ends with 0 (zero)

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Model Manager, you can modify a model's input variables or output variables through the following steps.

1. Open a model in SAS Model Manager.

2. Select Advanced ►  Model Files

3. Click  + on the toolbar and select either inputvar.xml or outputvar.xml.

4. Click Browse on the right side.  Navigate the file system to the desired file, and make your changes.

A problem occurs if you change the value of a LENGTH element to a value that ends with 0 (zero).

Example:     <LENGTH>30</LENGTH>

SAS Model Manager ignores a length that ends with 0.  Instead, the original value is used.

There are no errors or warnings in the user interface.  However, an error such as the following is displayed in the SASModelManager14.1.log file.  The file is located on the SAS middle-tier machine in the folder SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/Logs/SASServer11_1

ERROR [sasdemo]
com.sas.analytics.modelmanager.server.MMRepositoryImpl - cvc-pattern-valid:
Value '10' is not facet-valid with respect to pattern '\s*[1-9]+\s*' for type...

To work around this issue, do not use a length that ends with 0.
