Problem Note 58475: The restore utility in SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server ends abruptly on Linux systems

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you try to use the SAS SPD Server restore utility in a Linux operating environment, the table restore might intermittently end abruptly. A message similar to the following occurs:

NOTE: Restoring from file 'TABLENAME_BK__20141009_142101.0.0.0.spds9' System Aborting Status=803fc21e

The two issues that might cause the table restore to fail are when

  • the table name or column label contains extended ASCII characters, or
  • an internal buffer size problem generates an invalid pointer lookup.
