DetailsAboutRate It

When you invoke SAS/IML Studio and try to connect via the Choose Default SAS Server dialog box, this error message appears:
SAS/IML Studio The following error occurred while starting the IMLPlus Server: The class (IOM CLSID:6586cf9e-b096-45e5-9cb2-73f2f83db547) extension sasiimp cannot be loaded. Module sasiimp not found in search paths.

This issue occurs because the system prerequisites that are required for SAS/IML Studio have not all been installed. You must have the SAS/IML® software licensed and installed.

To determine whether you have SAS/IML software both licensed and installed, navigate to SAS Note 20390: "The SAS Installation Reporter program creates a report showing which applications, clients, and hot fixes are installed." In the note, click the Downloads tab and submit the sasinstallreporter3.sas file per these steps:
  1. Copy the sasinstallreporter3.sas file and paste into a SAS Editor window.
  2. Select the running man icon on the SAS toolbar to submit the file in SAS, or press F8.
Log information is added to the Log window.
  3. The Output-(Untitled) window appears with information about licensing and installation.
Inspect Section 1 to determine whether you have SAS/IML software licensed and Section 2 to determine whether you have it installed.

To perform an add-on installation of SAS/IML software from a SAS order that includes SAS/IML software and SAS/IML Studio, follow these steps:

  1. Log on to your computer as Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Settings ► Control Panel ► Services and stop your antivirus tool.
  3. Set User Access Control (UAC) to Never Notify.
    1. Click Start.
    2. In the Search programs and files box, type uac.
    3. In the User Account Control Settings, move the slider to Never Notify and click OK.
  4. Navigate to your installation materials.
  5. Right-click on the setup.exe in your installation materials and click Run As Administrator.
  6. Navigate down the installation path, and when the Select products to install panel appears, click the Clear All button and select SAS Foundation.
  7. When the Select SAS Foundation products to install panel appears, click the Clear All button, and select SAS/IML.
  8. Continue with your installation.
