Problem Note 49702: "Unexpected end of file while parsing Name" error when you open an information map in SAS® Enterprise Guide® and the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office

In SAS Enterprise Guide and the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, you might see the following error when you open a prompted information map:

Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 1, position 32677.

This error is most likely to occur under the following conditions:

  • The prompt is populated by a static list of values.
  • The list of values contains hundreds of data items.
  • Some of the values are very long.

One workaround is to use a dynamically populated prompt.
