Usage Note 45384: Consequences of enabling ENFORCING mode with SELinux
SELinux is a security enhancement to Linux that allows system administrators more control over which users and applications can access certain resources, such as files.
If SELinux is set to ENFORCING mode, some features in SASĀ® will not function correctly. For example, authentication and the launch of the JVM might fail.
To avoid these problems, set SELinux to PERMISSIVE mode or DISABLED mode.
SAS Technical Support does not provide assistance to alter SELinux policies in order to allow SAS to function in ENFORCING mode.
Operating System and Release Information

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If SELinux is enabled in ENFORCING mode, most root-setuid operations are blocked. The resulting problems with elssrv might cause SAS to fail to launch, might block authentication, or cause other problems.
