Problem Note 44405: Optimization fails with run time error

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When optimizing a plan in SAS® Regular Price Optimization, the plan might fail because of a run time error. You might see information in the Stored Process Server log similar to the following:

Solving sp # 1. Number of nonlinear constr: 0 Objective: -272721.15 ERROR: 0 price for subproblem var index 0. FAILED: Run time error

The error occurs because the underlying SAS/OR solver is unable to find an optimal solution. SAS® Regular Price Optimization should handle this situation more gracefully and use the last prices generated in the search as the recommended prices.

There is no workaround for this issue.
