Problem Note 39026: Registering a portfolio source takes a significant amount of time

Registering a portfolio source can take a significant amount of time (for example, 45 minutes instead of 10 seconds). You register a portfolio source using the READ statement within the RISK procedure. The slow-down in performance is known to occur with risk environments that contain counterparty and mitigation objects. There are no workarounds.
