Usage Note 36362: SAS® Customer Intelligence Concurrency performance improvements

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The following changes have been made available for SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio 5.1 via a hot fix, resulting in performance improvements:

  1. Replace statements have been eliminated, because new records need to be added and existing records do not have any changes, so they should not be replaced. Previously, the replacement statements in the mastspub.sas macro could cause collisions in Oracle and cause an error message like the following in the stored process:
ERROR: Update/delete failed. The observation may have been changed
or deleted since the time it was read. ORACLE execute error:
ORA-08177: can't serialize access for this transaction.

  2. Handling of concurrency within the MAInformationMap has been improved to prevent the following warning from occurring in the macore.log:
    [WARN ] SAS Demo User
    ics.crm.custdata.datapattern.MAIQService - Exception
null executing MAQuery. Dumping stack, backing off and trying unoptimized execution
