Performance might be slow when opening or refreshing complex diagrams in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, if the diagrams contain a "Double Diamond" pattern and the communications or exports contain refinement criteria.
A "Double Diamond" pattern occurs when the diagram starts from a single stream that fans out into two or more parallel streams. These, in turn, all coalesce into a single stream that subsequently fans out again into many parallel streams. These then feed into a single communication or export.
This causes performance problems if the communication or export uses the refine functionality to tune its output.
There is no workaround for this.
