The DEFINE statement in PROC OLAP will allow duplicate calculated members to be created in a single OLAP cube. This can lead to incorrect results since the query may not use the correct formula.
CREATE statements submitted through PROC SQL or in an MDX editor will not allow duplicates to occur. The calculated member tools in SAS® Enterprise Guide®, SAS® Information Map Studio and SAS® OLAP Cube Studio will also catch duplicate member names.
